How Mental Health and Physical Health Collaborate

The Collaboration of Physical and Mental Health
Mental and physical health go hand in hand. This is the reason why active gym-goers report a higher sense of self-esteem and overall happiness. Also, the term runner's high is connected with the euphoria felt when a runner hits a certain point in their sprint.
In some ways, the lack of physical motion can be detrimental to your health. So the opposite effect can also be true; we are meant to be active mammals and require a certain amount of movement. It is healthy physically and mentally because the two are deeply interconnected. Everyone should avoid smoking, drink water, eat balanced, healthy meals, and also exercise regularly. There are ways your mental health can negatively affect your physical health; however, your physical or mental health can have a positive impact on either.
It is important to consider the fact that if you keep your physical health at its peak, your mental health will also improve. If you have positive mental health conditions, it’s more likely you’ll be motivated to remain active. These two elements go hand in hand, which is why it is important to maintain both, not one more than the other. Never neglect any part of your health; these life factors play a huge role in your quality of life. According to Penn State Health, we should have at least 150 minutes of moderate exercise a week or 75 minutes of vigorous exercise in order to maintain a healthy brain and body.
