Obsidian's October Movie Calendar 2026

As we enter October, it is time to drop Obsidian's October Movie Calendar 2026, the calendar features a movie to watch for each and every day of October. Some are more recent movies, some are older movies. However, all of them are either thrillers, horrors, horror comedies, science fiction horror, or even some spooky kids movies… well at least one; The Little Vampire. Some horrors are better with a little bit of humor like Idle Hands and Killer Klowns from Outer Space. Others go straight for the macabre, such as Saw and Human Centipede.

On the other hand, we include some that are better paired with romance and feature the worst date ever; Audition and Fresh. We also love a cat and mouse chase just like in the plots of P2 and When a Stranger Calls. As for science fiction horrors, we added Brightburn, Level 16, It, and The Autopsy of Jane Doe. One of our favorite plot themes is “oh my gosh, they are totally screwed” and for that, we added The Green Inferno, As Above So Below, and The Belko Experiment. You’ll see many more classic slashers, bubblegum horror, contemporary scary movies, and some elevated horror. This calendar is the key to your October film watchlist.
